Welcome Back Golfers! Week 2

Welcome back everyone, great to see everyone getting interested in a bit of golf.  It is an amazing sport.

Mr G has started working with class groups on technique during school hours.  With roughly 120 students putting their names down for golf, I would ask you all to be patient, he will get there...eventually.

If you are serious about golf then I suggest enrolling in the Futures Geyserland golf programme that runs after school. If you would like a brochure, let me know.

Golf at Springfield starts this week...No golf on Tuesday-I imagine the course will be under water:) But Thursday is a go!

Springfield is an amazing golf course that allows us to use the course and their clubs on a Tuesday and Thursday afternoon, free of charge!  They are so generous, thank you Springfield!

Thanks to Alice and Tania for offering to drive and chaperone a team this week.  If you are available to help on either a Tuesday or Thursday, please text me on a Sunday so that I can arrange the schedule.

Also, on Wednesday 15th February after school at Rotorua Golf Course, there is a FREE Futures Festival of Golf run by Golf NZ.  It starts at 4pm, it's fun and all you need to do is turn up.

I will be there, I hope to see you there too.

Tuesday Golf at Springfield

Happy Sunday Here is the plan for Tuesday... Plan for the day Students come to school in school uniform and spend the first block of school in class. Leave clubs in the hall foyer unless they are going to be in a vehicle that is transporting students. 11.05 am - Students come to the hall foyer after morning tea. 11.10am-Get dressed into school PE uniform, shoes and socks  Bring a hat, a water bottle and a snack. (the hat does not need to be a school hat) 11.30am -Parents pick up from the Carnot St gate and transport to Springfield -see below who you will be transporting. 11.45am- Registration/Briefing by the pro shop 12.00pm-Start time, tees, 1,2,3,4,5 (adults must accompany teams), we rotate around the 5 tees 2.00pm-Report back to pro shop/hand in cards, spot prizes, prize giving 2.20pm-Leave Springfield and return to school using the Carnot Street entrance. Term 4 Golf!!!

Howdy Golfers! The children are super keen to get back into some golf.  The wait is over. This Thursday (12th October), we will start our afternoon golfing at Springfield.   As always, we need parents to help Mr G and I transport and walk with a group of golfers.  1.00pm pick up from Carnot Street and return to school at 2.30pm. Can anyone help with transport this week? Mr G will be working with these students during school time.  We are hoping to take some up to Springfield for a hit on Thursday. players I am targeting to practise this week -  Girls - Charlotte, Lydia H, Freyja, Isla T, Violet, Kendell, Isabella, Charlotte,Sophie Boys - Tai, Xavier, Leon, Levi, Carlos,  Armaan, Fraser,, James D,Nate Please let Ms Holmes know as soon as you can if you are able to help with Thursday transport.
